
Unless you live on the Western Slope, you probably haven't heard much about Wyatt Mortenson yet, but he could be playing a much larger role among 3A boys as early as next fall.
2017 In Review
Several teams made strong showings in 2017 to make for an interesting year overall. Faith Christian looked like a very strong possibility to win it all but came up against some state meet misfortune at the end. SkyView Academy, buoyed by a wealth of senior talent and incoming transfer Tyler Scholl kept getting better all season long. Alamosa, a bit dismissed early on account of the hit they took to graduation, made themselves a serious contender by the end. At the state meet, though, it was The Classical Academy that prevailed, with their depth providing six of the top 40 finishers.
