High school cross country in the state of Florida has come to an end, but that doesn't our mean our fastest individual and teams have stopped racing. This week they will be split between the Foot Locker South Regional in Charlotte, North Carolina and Nike Southeast Regional in Cary, North Carolina. We preview all the action of NXNSE.
Girls Preview
The Episcopal girls in 2005 are the only team to ever make NXN in Oregon. Several teams have come close including Niceville (4th), Pine Crest (5th), and Bolles (8th) in 2016. Pine Crest returns six of their top seven from that team and a squad that was perfect on the 2017 season including a repeat title in class 2A. The Panthers scored 33 points with four in the top ten at state and boast the individual state champion in Tsion Yared. Yared was 4th at NXNSE last year and was 39th at NXN.
