Milton Boys Take First Ever Georgia State Title
The Milton (GA) High boys cross country team, ranked No. 13 on the Flo50, dominated the Class 7A title race on Friday afternoon.
Senior Sam Bowers took home his second individual state title, leading the Eagles to victory. Just behind Bowers in second was teammate Nicholas Yanek, followed by East Coweta's Kyle Harkabus for third.
The Eagles had a total team time of 1:23:00.85 and an average of 16:36.17. They placed first, second, eighth, 14th and 15th, (+19th and 26th) to score 40 points and get the win. The title was the team's first ever in school history and Milton took it in dominant fashion, scoring 138 points less than the runner-up team.
