The top sprinter in Arizona has one more year of high school track and field left before he continues his career in college. But first, Phoenix North Canyon High's Tyrees Moulton will navigate the recruiting period over the fall. In the spring, Moulton won two Arizona Interscholastic Association championships -- his first state titles -- in the 200m and 400m. He went on to finish third in the 400m at the Great Southwest Classic in a career PB of 46.51 -- also a school record -- and placed sixth at Brooks PR at the same distance. He's second all-time in the state of Arizona in the 400m, trailing Spencer Chases's 2009 time of 46.47 seconds by just a few hundredths of a second.

What are you looking for in a program: I'm looking for a good team who gets along with each other for the most part. Also, I'd love a really nice campus with good facilities.
What are you looking for in a coach: I'd like someone who I can trust and get along with. I'd like a coach who can take input, give great insight, and make me the best athlete I can be.
What are you looking for in teammates: I'm looking for a team who has the same mentality as me -- that's the winning mentality. Also, it would be nice to have teammates who know how to have a good time and go at it in practice.
What will be your ideal events: 200m, 400m, and relays.
What's the most interesting pitch you've received so far: It definitely was interesting when a coach said there's a Jamaican restaurant close to the university -- lol (I'm of Jamaican descent).
When will you make your commitment: It will be sometime in mid-November.
