Analysis: Outside of a 10th-place performance at NXN, Lee won every single meet she entered in 2016, taking the NXN New York Regional in 17:44.80, the New York state class B championships in 17:53.70 and earning section and division wins. Lee ran her fastest time of the season at the Brown Northeast Invitational, going 16:45.45, which returns as the second fastest overall performance from a year ago. In the spring, Lee finished third at the state championships in the 1500m (4:23.48) and was second in the 3000m (9:26.78).
