Analysis: Connolly's sophomore season was a breakout one. She was ninth at Foot Locker Nationals, fourth at Foot Locker Northeast, and won her first Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association cross country title. A week prior, she set a season PB with a time of 17:46.03 at the Eastern State Championships and later raced to her second fastest time of 17:50.09 at nationals at Balboa Park in San Diego.
