Hunter Woodhall is leaving the World Para Athletic Championships with a silver medal.
On Saturday, the future University of Arkansas sprinter produced a quality performance in the men's T43 200m final, finishing second to Germany's Johannes Floors (21.50) with a time of 21.72 seconds in the double-amputee category.
USA's Nick Rogers was third in 21.88 seconds, while AJ Digby was fourth in 22.15.
But with the potential to earn gold on Sunday in the men's T42-47 4x100 relay, Team USA, which featured Woodhall, was DQ'ed -- despite a winning effort -- and watched as Germany took the top honor in 42.81 seconds.
Woodhall capped off his high school career, however, with a stellar senior campaign that saw him win two individual state titles in the 200m and 400m, including a state record 46.24 time in the quarter-lap, while he was fifth at the Brooks PR Invitational 400m and was fifth at New Balance Nationals Outdoor.
