The Northport (NY) High boys team posted the fastest 4x800m time of the year at New Balance Nationals Outdoors last month. The Tigers' 7:37.42 makes them one of only two teams to crack under 7:40 in the 4x800m in 2017. Thomas Worthington (Ohio) was the only other team to break the 7:40 barrier.

Based off PBs and the 800m team scores, Lakewood Ranch (FL) should have one of the fastest 4x800m teams in the country with a 7:50 total time anchored by future Ole Miss Rebel John Rivera. However, 7:50 only puts Lakewood Ranch in the top 80 in the country.
