2017 AAU Region 18 Qualifier (Burleson, TX)
Two big names to watch out for in this region are Johnathon Simms & Brayden Henry.
Two big names to watch out for in this region are Johnathon Simms & Brayden Henry.
Simms is one of nine triple winners from last year's JOs winning the 200, 400 and 800 for 9 years old. He also holds several age group JO records as his 400 (59.25) and his 800 (2:19.43) are the best times to ever be thrown down.
Look for Brayden Henry to take the first step to defend his title as won the 100 and 200 for 8 and under last year at JOs.
Kerley seems to be one of the biggest names this 2017 season as Fred Kerley just broke the NCAA Record in the 400m with a 43.70. Catch the future in the 400m on the girls side of things in Fred's sister Virginia Kerley as she looks to run fast in the heat of Texas.
Look for future Pitt Panther Lonzell Feagin to dominate the boy's sprints. Also, watch for McKenzie Long on the girl's side of things as she is one of the fastest girls in the state of OH.
Tune in to see who will step up and make a name for themselves and punch their ticket to AAU Nationals.
