Canyon-Anaheim Hills (CA) senior Rachel Baxter vaulted U.S. No. 5 all-time on Saturday at the CIF Southern Section Masters meet in Norwalk, California.
Her vault of 14 feet 4 inches ties former Cabot (AR) standout Tori Weeks on the all-time list. Baxter's previous best was 14 feet even.
The Virginia Tech signee is only behind national-record holder Lexi Weeks of Cabot (AR) and Desiree Freier of Justin Northwest (Texas). Freier holds the second, third, and fourth marks on the all-time list.
