
As we turn the corner toward the last remaining state championship events across the country, performances in the 100/110m hurdles are gaining ground against their all-time counterparts.
Here, we examine the current crop of national leaders in both the boys 110m and girls 100m hurdles against all-time best performances in our database.
A few things come to mind.
- Agoura (Ca.) High's Tara Davis has had a remarkable season in the event. Her wind-legal 13.01 second time at Arcadia Invitational stands as a top 10 mark all-time, but what's more important is that she did it against over the high school season. Every single competitor with a faster all-time mark achieved that performance past the high school season. Davis also ran the No. 2 best all conditions mark of all-time this past week at CIF SS Prelims, going 12.89 seconds.
