Just ask Trey Cunningham.
The Winfield City (AL) High senior and Florida State signee wasn't impressed with his most recent PR in the 110m hurdles on Saturday at the Mobile Challenge of Champions at UMS-Wright.
He won the invitational field in a season and career best wind-legal 13.35 seconds, but he knocked down almost all of the hurdles en route to the finish.
What does that say about Cunningham? Even on an imperfect day, the senior is without question the best short distance hurdler in the nation.
His performance stands tied 12th all-time on the boys outdoor list with Miami Northwestern's Artie Burns -- who's currently in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cunningham became just the seventh person to run the 110m hurdles in 13.35 seconds or faster and is inching closer to a goal he set at the beginning of the season: to become the first high school athlete to drop a sub-13 time.
The World Junior record in the 110m hurdles is 12.99, which was set by France's Wilhem Belocian in 2014.
