MIAMI -- We didn't predict much less from the Sam Burley Hall of Fame Invitational on Saturday in the boys 200m. The premier race brought us the top 3 times in the nation -- as it stands now in the outdoor season -- with Miami Norland sophomore Tyrese Cooper showing an incredible burst over the second half of the race to net him a win in 20.66 seconds, which stands as US #1.
Miramar's Jamal Walton, who finished third in 20.75 seconds, ran 20.66 seconds in the preliminaries and finished him tied for Cooper with the best overall time.
American Heritage junior Anthony Schwartz, who won the 100m over Cooper and Walton in 10.39 seconds, landing him US #3 in that event, finished second in the 200m finals with a time of 20.69 seconds.
