Ashten Loeks and Elizabeth come down from 4A this year, and they could be trouble.

Disclaimer: I have a long-standing policy of not talking about our own team (The Classical Academy) in preview articles such as this. As a result, TCA athletes will be included in the returning top-18 rankings, but I will omit TCA from any top-five teams discussion at the end. If somebody feels strongly enough that TCA should be included and wants to write the piece, I'll add it to the article. I'm not averse to that; I just need to be able to relate to the kids on our own team as something other than the MileSplit guy who writes (or doesn't) about them.

Eaton won last year's 3A Girls crown, and the Big Red Machine definitely figures in this year's analysis as well. Lutheran picked up a major athlete transfer between last year and this, and that will force the Lions into a more prominent role in this year's analysis.
