Last weekend at the 110th Millrose Games Sammy Watson ran 2:01.78 for a new national record in the 800m! The record she took down was a 42-year-old record set by three-time olympian Mary Decker back in 1974. Decker went on to become two-time world champion. What does this mean for Sammy Watson? Only time will tell.
