Soloman Haile (Sr., Sherwood, MD) sizzles to a Vanny course record 12:06.07. Joe Rosa (So., West Windsor Plainsboro-North, NJ) continued to make the east coast his own personal playground, adding a win in the Eastern States race at Van Cortlandt  Park to victories earlier this season at Belmont Plateau and Holmdel Park. Rosa was less than a second better than Andrew Colley (Sr., Jamestown, VA).  Melanie Thompson (Sr., Voorhees, NJ) takes the girls' Eastern States race by two seconds over Courtney Chapman (So., Fayetteville-Manilus, NY). F-M, NY girls decisive in 67-point win over Tatnall, DE. Lightly raced Don Bosco Prep comes out of hibernation to claim eastern supremacy for now. Emily Jones, (Sr., Bromfield, MA) (left, wingedfootfotos.com) posted the fastest girls time of the day, winning the Varsity A Race in 14:12.7.

GIRLS RACE OF CHAMPIONS: Ashley Brasovan (Sr., Wellington, FL) defeats a stacked field with a time of 17:16. Kathy Kroeger (Sr., Independance, TN) finishes a close 2nd with a time of 17:25. Emily Sisson grabs 3rd in 17:39, and Stephanie Morgan (Sr., Barnesville, OH) finishes 4th, also dipping under 18 for a time of 17:54. Collins Hill over Mountain Brook.

Burnt Hills boys sweep top three places en route to team title. Scott Maughan, Otis Ubriaco and Kent Harlow lead the way with Maughan's 15:30, two seconds better than Ubriaco, holding up as the fastest time of the day. greenwich girls led by the 1-2 finish of Roxanne Henningson (17:52) and Cady Kuzmich.
