Jasmine Moore breaks triple jump national record (44-11.75)
I had the privilege of watching Jasmine Moore's high school career explode in 2016. I first saw her in action two summers ago at an AAU Regional event in Abilene, Texas. The always smiling 14-year-old was just happy to be competing and was talking about 40' in the TJ like it was just another day at practice. Every time I watched her jump the pure talent on display makes me not want to miss a single attempt because you can tell that any one could be a record. After setting the freshman national record (42-01.75) to win the Texas state meet, she went on to beat that mark twice with slightly wind aided performance at NBNO (43-5.75) and USATF JO's (42-02.75).
After watching her in person so many times, there's no doubt in my mind that as a sophomore in 2017, Jasmine Moore can break the national record and be the first high schooler in history to go over 45-00.
