No. 6 ranked D.J. Principe of La Salle Academy won his third consecutive Rhode Island state cross country title in 14:56.09 for 5K, a new state meet record. He set the prior record of 15:09.57 last year, which eclipsed Andrew Springer's 2008 mark of 15:14.05. The Stanford commit won the race by 57 seconds and led La Salle to the team title with 34 points.
