Before everyone gets intensely focused on next week's regional contests and who will advance to state, I wanted to take a few moments this week to take a quick look at some possible teams of the future.
On the pages that follow, you will see virtual meets for 3A Boys and 3A Girls that look only at the freshmen and sophomores on the roster.
Some of the athletes you see in the virtual meets that follow will move away or drop cross country. This year's crop of 7th and 8th graders will move up and have their own impacts. Other individuals you see already listed on the virtual meets will show sharp improvements. All of that will eventually change the landscape of what you see on the next two pages, but the overall landscape will still bear much resemblance to the virtual meets.
