5) Where are they now? College frosh roundup
- 10th Aidan Reed (SUU)
Reed was a good high school cross country athlete, and was a force on the Montana XC scene, but failed to qualify for NXN and Foot Locker last year. That's not holding him back as he is already making a big impact at the collegiate level for Southern Utah. The Thunderbirds earned a top 10 finish as a team, helped by Reed's top 10 individual finish.
- 18th Thomas Pollard (Iowa State) / 19th Andrew Jordan (Iowa State)
Former Nike Festival of Miles champion Pollard, and 2016 Brooks PR 2 Mile champ Jordan, helped lead Iowa State to a 2nd place finish with a huge five second 1-5 split. Jordan started the race in 149th at the 1K mark and then worked his way up to his teammates until they were all around 45th at the 5K split. Then the group all moved up through the rest of the pack in the final three kilometers.
- 11th Holly Bullough (Michigan State)
Bullough dominated her in-state cross country races in 2015. The Michigan native is already having success for MSU with an 11th place finish to lead the Spartan Roy Griak team to 2nd place.
- 17th Aubrey Roberts (Northwestern)
The 2015 Foot Locker all-american broke into the top 20 at Roy Griak to be the top finisher for her Northwestern team.
- 18th Sophia Parvizi Wayne (Duke)
Duke is already seeing an impact from this British athlete running on American soil, who was their top finisher in 18th place.
- 21st Bethany Hasz (Minnesota)
We talked a lot about Bethany Hasz last year while she was crushing her final year of high school cross country and track. 6th in the adidas Boost Boston Games 1500m, and a top 5 finish at NXN proved she was one of the top distance recruits in the country. The Minnesota-grown star is now running for the Gophers and finished 21st on their home course on Saturday.
