Olivia Scmitt is the fastest freshman three-miler so far this season: she ran 18:10.9 to place fifth at the Art Campbell Lake County Invitational in Illinois last weekend. How legit is she? As an eighth-grader at Millburn Middle School, she won the 2016 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) State Championship in the 800m (2:23.06) and 1600m (5:11.84), plus recorded a ninth place finish in the 400m (1:01.42). That's some serious speed!
