A breakout year on the track makes Jacqueline Gaughan one of most promising distance runners in the class of 2018. The New Hampshire runner ran consistently in the mid-10:30 range for 3200m this spring and recorded a PB of 10:24.27 in placing runner-up at the New England Championship ahead of Stanford recruit Hannah Debalsi. Gaughan is a true distance specialist, as proven by her top runs in the 5K at New Balance Nationals: she ran 17:13.69 for eighth place at the indoor meet and 16:53.82 for fifth place and All-American honors at the outdoor meet. Expect her to improve upon her 34th place finish at the 2015 Foot Locker Northeast Regional.
