Christine Babcock (CB): I have basically been doing what I have been doing all year round, track workouts 3 days a week and distance runs the other days. The track workouts are probably tailored more to the 1500, but other than that nothing really has changed.

MS: When you ran your 1500m race and qualified, and broke the 1500m national record, what did you learn from that race that might help you this coming week?

CB: I learned how to run the 1500, since that was the first time I had ever run it. Mentally, it feels like a different race to me, so I felt like that race was good practice so that I am more prepared for the Trials.

MS: What are your goals for the Trials?

CB: My only goal is to have fun. Other than that, whatever else happens will be a blessing.

MS: Any fun plans for the summer after the Trials are over?

CB: I am going to a camp called Wheatstone after the trials and then in August I am going to go to Mammoth with my high school cross country team. Other than that, I will just be working, training, and hanging out with my friends.

MS: Best of luck this week Christine.
