With this one, we wrap up our previews of the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede. It's been a long journey, but one worth taking, I trust.
Starting with the boys...
BOYS
Alamosa, of course, is the two-time defending state champion. Honestly, if the Mean Moose brings their Mean team, it's difficult to see anyone in this field staying with them. This is a senior-laden team, deep in experience on this course, and deep in the understanding of what it takes to be a successful cross country program.
A much more interesting question here concerns who shows promise behind Alamosa. Patriot League schools Estes Park and University have a golden opportunity to take a big stride forward here. Elizabeth and Conifer come down from 4A with an opportunity to make a splash. Liberty Common showed well in spring and Colorado Academy showed flashes of promise last fal...
