Athlete: Aislinn Devlin
Year: 2017
School: Downingtown West, PA
Analysis: Aislinn Devlin returns to the cross country course with a vengeance this fall - the rising senior at Downingtown West High School just missed out on capturing the Pennsylvania individual state title last year. However, she made up for the race by outpacing the pack at the NXN Northeast Regional to capture gold and book a trip to nationals, where she earned her first All-American honors with a 17:22.10 5K PB and ninth place overall finish. The NXN experience was her second; she qualified individually as a sophomore in 2014 and placed 29th in Portland.
This spring, Devlin went on to place seventh at New Balance Nationals Indoor in the two mile (10:27.96) and win the Pennsylvania outdoor state title in the 3200m.
