Analysis: Finn Gessner had a monster year in 2015. He finished first in every cross country race he ran until he reached the regional stage. Last year's Wisconsin cross country state champion threw down an impressive fourth-place finish at the NXN Heartland Regional, and then came back a week later to kill it at the Foot Locker Midwest Regional. Gessner posted fabulous finishes against the nation's top dogs at both national meets as he took eighth at 2015 NXN with a time of 15:18.20 and 11th in 15:29.00 at Foot Locker Nationals.
This guy's impressive resume doesn't stop there. In the spring, he won the WIAA Track and Field State Championships in the 3200m in a PB of 9:01.81. Dresser's 1600m PR is 4:19.25.
With the amount of talent Gessner has faced in 2015, he should be well-prepared to excel at both national meets this year. Look for two top-10 finishes and possible a top-five performance from Gessner at NXN or Foot Locker Nationals this season.
