Analysis: Waleed Suliman had a sensational junior season. The Virginia 5A cross country state champion got a chance to showcase his skills at the national level when he finished sixth at the Foot Locker South Regional. Among a stout field of 40 competitors at 2015 Foot Locker Nationals, Suliman finished 29th overall, but was the eighth junior to cross the line.
Suliman has not only shown brilliance on the cross country course, but also on the track. He has shown some serious speed by clocking 1:51.98 in the 800m, 4:11.89 in the 1600m and 9:34.54 in the 3200m.
With strength, speed and confidence, Suliman is setting his goals high this season as he looks to win the Foot Locker National Meet.
