Katie Rainsberger Quadruples At Final Colorado State Meet (Again!), Breaks Elise Cranny's Meet Record
Oregon recruit Katie Rainsberger closed out her prep career with four gold medals in the 800m (2:09.97), 1600m (4:45.27), 3200m (10:23.24) and 4x800m relay (9:14.28) at the Class 4A Colorado State Championship. 2016 marks the second year in a row that Rainsberger completed the quadruple win.
Her 1600m time broke the state meet record, previously set at 4:47.54 by Elise Cranny in 2014. Rainsberger already broke the overall state record with a 4:44.31 at the Longmont Invitational in March, though she owns an indoor mile best of 4:37.
"The mile is like my baby," she said. "I had the most confidence with it [compared to the other events] but I was also nervous because I wanted to do well."

Next up is the Portland Track Festival and USATF Junior Nationals in Clovis, California, where she will contest the 1500m.
