Michael Slagowski Drops 800m National Leader
Michael Slagowski, the newest member of the sub-four club, tripled at the Idaho 5A District III Championship this weekend by running 1:48.36 for 800m, 4:18.12 for 1600m and 9:24.81 for 3200m. The 800m seemed to be his sole hard effort, as he won by seven seconds. The Penn State commit also anchored his Rocky Mountain High School team to a third-place finish the 4x400m in 3:22.84.
The 1:48.36 is a new personal record and stands as the fastest 800m time in the nation this year.
