Weini Kelati Runs Solo 9:53.40 for 3200m!
Weini Kelati's signature aggressive start paid off on Saturday at the Dogwood Classic, as she ran a new personal best of 9:53 over 3200m. Her prior best was a more modest 10:36.3, set at the Raleigh Relays last March.
Her time bested the prior meet and state record of 10:03, set by Erin Keough in 1987.
In second and third place, Libby Davidson ran 10:34 and Rachel McArthur ran 10:35.
