The probability of Eaton repeating this year as state champions appears to be high. The two teams with the best shot at catching Eaton--Peak to Peak and Platte Valley--have some catching up to do. One big advantage Eaton has over both Peak to Peak and Platte Valley is multi-dimensionality. Eaton appears poised to school at state in every event area, whereas Peak to Peak and Platte Valley are much more restricted in the potential sources of their state meet point production. And, Eaton's relays are at or near the top of the 3A pile in every instance.
