Omaha, Nebraska is the hotbed of track and field in the Cornhusker State. On Tuesday and Wednesday the top athletes in the Omaha area took to the Omaha Metro Track Meet to vie for local bragging rights. At the end of the competition, Millard North High School was able to raise the girls team trophy high in the air. One of the key factors to the Millard North win was the distance quadruple Emily Sisson (So., Millard North, NE) (pictured left by Scott Bush) accomplished. The sophomore distance star won the 800m dash in 2:15.46, the 1600m run in 4:58.76 and the 3200m run in 10:31.41. Sisson also helped pace her team's 4x800m relay to victory. Sisson's performances definitely rank her as the top mid-week performer this week. Results
