Tyrese Cooper Almost Breaks Own Freshman National Records
Competing at Florida State's Seminole Invitational, the freshman phenom won the 200 and 400 over fields of collegians and pros including 2013 NCAA 100 runner-up Dentarius Locke. Cooper's PRs and freshman national records coming into the race were 20.68 (200m) and 46.43 (400m). He won the 200 in 20.46, but the wind was a just barely illegal 2.2 meters per second. And he won the 400 in 46.52 seconds, which you can watch above.
