Khalifa St. Fort Blazes US #1 100m/200m Marks at CARIFTA Trials
Khalifa St. Fort and her coach, Ato Boldon, took a trip down to Trinidad and Tobago this weekend to compete in the CARIFTA Games Trials.
St. Fort posted nation-leading times of 11.39 (+2.2) in the U-20 100m and 23.64 (+1.7) in the U-20 200m to win both events.
The Florida-based sprinter, a UCLA commit, will return to the Caribbean later this month for the CARIFTA Games. The event will be held in St. Georges, Grenada from March 26 to 28. St. Fort is already an international medalist for Trinidad and Tobago; she won silver last year in the World Youth Championships 100m and earned a bronze medal for her efforts on the 4x100-meter relay at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China.
