In just his first of two competitions this week, Jordan Geist recorded yet another personal best in the Shot Put: a monstrous 72 feet, 8.75 inches. That mark ranks him No. 3 All-Time indoors and sets a new National Junior Class Record.
Geist joined the All-Time List back in January, when he threw over 70 feet for the first time with a mark of 71-2.5. Since then, he improved to 71-4.5 but stayed at the No. 9 All-Time ranking.
His new mark broke a record set by Nick Vena of New Jersey in 2010.
Geist competes again tomorrow in Ohio at the Scholastic SPIRE Invitational. Watch the action LIVE on MileSplit here.
