Chanel Brissett Goes 8.28 For #9 All-Time in 60H

Chanel Brisset just won the 60 meter hurdles at Kevin Dare in 8.28 seconds, making her tied for the ninth fastest high school girl in the history of the event. The junior from Cheltenham, PA leapt into the air in a celebration befitting a great hurdler:

The time is a new Pennsylvania state record and ties Tonea Marshall for the #9 spot all time and the #1 ranking in the nation this winter. Sydney McLaughlin  and Anna Cockrell have yet to set new personal bests this season, but their marks from 2015 rank #4 and 5 all-time, respectively. That means that four of the ten fastest high school hurdlers of all time are competing right now. It's going to be a crazy year in the event.
