After her impressive NIN/NSIC pole vault sweep last weekend, Rachel Laurent (LA) (pictured left winning NSIC by Don Rich) continued her national domination of the event by clearing the magical 14 foot barrier at the Nollie Arcement Relays. Laurent's performance leaves her 2.5 inches off the national record (of 14-02.5 set indoors) set last year by Tori Anthony and ranks her U.S. #2 all-time outdoors,. After her 14-00 clearance, Laurent raised the bar to 14-1.75, half an inch above Anthony's record outdoors, barely missing it on her final attempt.
