Nike Indoor Nationals.  Are You Ready?

Girls 60m Hurdles

National recordholder Jackie Coward (West, Knoxville, TN) leads the field.  Her 8.16 Simplot win lowered her own record by .01.  Super sophomore Jasmin Stowers (Pendleton, SC) has beaten Jackie once this year, if ever so slightly, Coward's only loss in the indoor campaign.  At the Kentucky Invitational in late February, Stowers broke Coward's sophomore class record, running 8.38.  Also challenging will be Maryland 3A 55mH champ Christina Manning (Westlake, Waldorf, MD - 7.98), Pennsylvania state champ (and pentathlon favorite) Ryann Krais (Methacton, Fairview Village, PA) 8.54 for 60mH, Virginia state champ Charisse Bryant (Green Run, Virginia Beach - 8.04 seasonal best) and North Carolina state champ Ashley Bethune (Harding, Charlotte - 8.10).

Boys 60m Hurdles

Wayne Davis (Southeast, Raleigh, NC) has flirted with the national records in both the 55m hurdles and the 60m hurdles, missing both by .01.  He is the prohibitive favorite.  Davis' teammate, Keare Smith, has run 7.30 (55mH) and is currently ranked third in the U.S.  Both Michael Hancock (Washington, Denver, CO), the Simplot Games champion, and Booker Nunley (Garner, NC) have run 7.78 for 60m hurdles and are ranked =#3 in the country for that distance.  Throw in New Jersey champ Devon Hill (Central, Trenton) at 7.34, and sub-14 second outdoor hurdler Jamele Mason (Westfield, Houston, TX), and this event promises to be a memorable one.

We Need Those Bios
