Rachel Morin has been undefeated in Idaho all season and kept that streak alive yesterday. She improved on her 45th finish at State in 2014 to finish on top this year. She'll have plenty of company over the next two years to defend her title with freshman Eve Jensen and sophomore Mckenna Emerson rounding out the top-3.
The top time at the Idaho State Champs came from freshman Caleb Armstrong. The rising frosh has been having a solid season, placing Top-5 in almost all of his races. He had the race of his life to win the 4A title and post the fastest overall time. Had they raced together, we would've seen a great finish between Armstrong and 3A state champion Austin Stewart. Stewart's 16:05.90 is just .2s shy of Armstrong's 16:05.70.
