He chose USC over the University of Houston, LSU, Texas A&M and Baylor.
The senior at Vista Murrieta High School in California earned renown in June for one of the most impressive state championship runs in American prep history, as he swept the 200 meter dash in U.S. No. 6 All-Time 20.30 and 400 meter dash in U.S. No. 6 All-Time 45.19, then came back to split 44.9 in the 4x400 meter relay at the CIF State Finals.
Norman was nearly unbeatable in the post-season, as he won the adidas Dream 100 in 10.36 and the Brooks PR Invitational 400m. He improved his 200m best to 20.24 in placing runner-up to Noah Lyles at the USATF Junior Nationals in June.
