Texans Go Hard At Districts
- No. 7 ranked Julia Heymach of Houston Lamar, Texas ran 16:58.00 over three miles to start her championship season campaign with a win at the UIL 6A - District 20 Championship. The time is seven seconds faster than last year's effort and she finished four minutes, 21 seconds ahead of the field.
- No. 3 Carter Blunt returned to action for the first time since September with a 15:19 win at the 5A - District 9 Championship. Looks like he was just cruising for the win, as he finished 45 seconds ahead of the runner-up and 11 seconds slower than last year. We're also guessing he's not fond of the Warren Park course, as he had this to say after the win:
Never have to run at warren again #blessed

- Abby Gray of Alamo Heights continues to look deserving of a Top 25 spot if someone already ranked messes up. The senior - a recent University of Arkansas commit - ran 17:18.5 over three miles to win by more than two minutes in 5A - District 27.
