The Centerville and Novi girls and boys' teams showed their prowess in pulling upset victories over Flo50 ranked Northville (No. 13 girls) and Rockford (No. 20 boys on Friday afternoon, while Karenna Duffey of L'Anse Creuse North (17:54) and Isaac Harding of Rockford (15:32) took the individual titles.
Rockford finished third in the team standings, despite having the No. 1 and No. 3 finishers in Harding and sophomore Cole Johnson (15:35).

The Novi boys were led by Joost Plaetinck, who placed 20th in 16:18. All five scorers averaged 16:39 for 5k and nailed a 45-second spread.
Centerville packed up behind a runner-up effort by senior Lainey Studebaker (18:05) to score a total of 138 points and race a 19:08 average over the 5k course. Northville placed third overall (192 points) behind Birmingham Seaholm (140 points), who look strong despite losing stars Audrey Belf and Rachel Dadamio to graduation last year.

Another notable performance was that of Ann Arbor Pioneer sophomore Anne Forsyth, who took third in 18:12.
