It hasn't rained much lately around Lyons, and things aren't looking very green. For one day, though, Mountain Vista took care of all that. Front and center, things were a dense shade of green--and especially so in the JV races.

It might have been all Allie Chipman's idea. She, at least got it started. With no Catherine Liggett showing up for the 4A/5A girls race, Chipman took over and pounded from the front. The race for first had all the suspense of eagle versus prey. In fact, it was Golden Eagle versus prey, and there was a whole lot of prey. Golden Eagles have to stay well fed, you know.
