Lauren Rain Williams and Candace Hill placed second and first, respectively, in the 200 meter dash at the IAAF World Youth Championships.
The United States earned the most medals for a single nation in the history of the IAAF World Youth Championship, as the red, white and blue brought home 19 total medals. That number includes eight gold, five silver and six bronze.
Other top America-based athletes chose to compete for other countries, as they won medals in historic fashion for Sweden and Trinidad and Tobago.
