The rising senior took second overall in the prelims, running 3:53.29 just behind Oregon true freshman Blake Haney. The Virginia native is coming off two stellar performances, having placed second in the Dream mile and then winning the Brooks PR Invitational 2 Mile with a U.S. No. 9 All-Time performance of 8:42.51. Last week, Hunter's 2 mile win was an upset over sub-four minute miler Grant Fisher, who hadn't been beaten by a high school competitor in almost two years.
