Anna Rohrer, two-time Foot Locker National XC Champion, has raced "just" 10:11 this year, but she's not intimidated by the sub-10 minute girls in the Brooks PR field.
That time was an Indiana state record and came after Rohrer won the 1600m state title in a personal best 4:52.09. The Mishawaka, Ind. senior owns the national high school record in the 5k at 16:10.79, but is she ready to break 10 minutes for the full two mile? The Notre Dame-bound star talked to MileSplit about her expectations heading into the race, as she assumes somewhat of an underdog role even after remaining undefeated at the two mile race for the past two years.
She will face off against fellow cross country national champion Allie Ostrander, who has run a best of 10:58 this year, as well as the nation-leader in the 3200m in Destiny Collins of Great Oak, who clicked off a 9:53 to win the California state title.
