Rai Benjamin may be the busiest high school athlete in America. The U.S. No. 1 ranked 400-meter hurdler, who ran 51.29 to finish as the top American at The Penn Relays Carnival, has competed everywhere from the Arcadia Invitational in California to the CARIFTA Games in St. Kitts and Nevis this spring. The Mount Vernon senior recently returned from perhaps his most unique experience yet, as the dual citizen of America and Antigua and Barbuda competed for the island country in the IAAF World Relays as a member of the 4x200-meter relay team. The IAAF World Relays are a senior-level international championship event featuring mostly professional athletes.
