Olivia Sargent of Pennsbury, PA was the ealry leader taking the pack through the half in 2:29. Coming off the bell Malia Ellington (NC) and Sage Hurta (NY) surged away from some of PA's best milers in Sargent and Marissa Sheva.
Ellington crossed the line in 4:54.38 holding off Hurta by .6 turning her 4th place finish in this event from last year to a victory.
