Sammy Watson (2017) leads Ersula Farrow (1974) across the line in the 1k at the Armory Track Invitational. Watson won the event in a US #1, National Sophomore Class Record of 2:47. They will race the 800m this weekend.

Deakin Volz (Bloomington South, Ind.) cleared 17-10.5 last weekend before Paulo Benavides of TX cleared 17-11 to steal the record the same night. Benavides will compete in the Millrose Games this weekend in New York.
Sammy Watson of Rush-Henrietta Sperry, New York and Ersula Farrow of Oak Park, Mich. are set to face off again for the first time since the Armory Track Invitational, where Watson set the National Sophomore Class Record, US #1 2:47.27. Senior Farrow was a close second with US #2 2:48.39. The duo will race this weekend in their signature distance - the 800m. Farrow is the returning 800m runner-up from 2014 New Balance Indoor Nationals. Farrow is currently ranked US #3 for 800m at 2:11.00 while Watson is US #5 at 2:13.45 - this race could easily produce a new US #1.
Logan Wetzel (Saline, MI), the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix Mile Champion last weekend, is currently ranked US #2 in the Mile at 4:08.75. Can he take down fellow Michigan runner Grant Fisher's nation-leading mark of 4:07.29?
