Texas A&M HS Indoor Classic RECAP

The Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic produced enough top times and marks over the weekend of January 9-10 to be worthy of the Aggies' storied athletic program.


Texas A&M commit Jacob Wooten impresses at his future home track, setting a new US #3 17-0.75 mark in the pole vault. Sprints flip-flop national leaders

Jaevin Reed (Plano Prestonwood Christian, TX) ran US #2 24.49 200m & runner-up Danyel White (Cedar Hill, TX) blitzed US #5 24.74. Don't forget Samantha Gonzalez (El Paso Ysleta, TX), who finished seventh in the finals but ran US #3 24.59 in the prelims! WATCH the VIDEO of these killer sprinters here.

The boys weren't the only ones blazing track, as the ladies of Cedar Hill Blaze TC ran 3:51.85 to win the last event of the evening (Watch the race video here!). The time would be a new US #1 if all four relay members went to the same high school, though they're close - 3 out of 4 actually attend Cedar Hill HS (TX).
